...“Hice este concepto muy sicodélico por influencia de Pink Floyd, The Killer, donde la música es suave, para escucharla en cualquier momento. Cuando las canciones llegan a una emoción muy agria o fuerte, la intensidad no viene por la fuerza o velocidad de los instrumentos, sino por las notas musicales que se están interpretando. Por los diferentes intervalos que representan un tipo de presión y como esa fue mi influencia, esa es la música que trabajé”, agrega.

Finalmente, Merlinmoon tiene muy claro lo que quiere: llegar a mucha gente y tener respuesta a sus preguntas. “No me pregunté por qué hago música, simplemente sale de mí y espero que siga saliendo”, concluye.....

La escritora y poeta venezolana María Gabriela Lovera Montero y la artísta e ilustradora Chileno/Venezolana Daniela Guglielmetti acaban de publicar su libro ilustrado "SABIA VIDA SAVIA, Manual de Irrealismo Pragmático", publicado en Madrid, España.

Pueden adquirirlo en el stand 178 de Ediciones Amargord en la Feria del Libro de Madrid (del 30 de mayo al 15 de junio) o en el stand de la distribuidora Ediculsa, el 337. En librerías estará para mediados de junio, y próximamente en Venezuela.

...It was incredibly easy to get lost out there. Trying one night to find my way back to my tent across the dunes, after watching an excellent documentary dealing with the politics of the Sahara, I was invited into a tent where Javier Bardem was playing bongos (rather well, in fact) with a Venezuelan singer called Luzmira (you read about her here first) and Manu's astonishingly good guitarist Madjid. Better than the Vanity Fair party at the Oscars, I told Bardem, as we traded bongo licks...

Ever active, ever adventurous, Venezuelan musician Rubén d’Hers gathered a host of pieces he recorded between 1999 and 2003 in those moments when he wasn’t busy in kRé activities, and so his first solo album became a reality. Titled “Todo Está en Descanso”, this album is a catalogue of ideas conceived from the outside margins of the usual standards of the art of music. Minimalism, RIO- inspired shady ambiences, musique concrete, flirtations with post-rock, electronic processes… all of them alternate in a sequence of weirdly ordained sounds aimed at the evocation of mental images and dream-like sensorial experiences. The sound effects are not only a very important part of the sonic elaboration: they almost “operate” as leaders of the musical road trodden by d’Hers throughout this repertoire...

Clara Rodriguez returns to the Wigmore Hall with a programme where her lavish talent and latin ardour will be in evidence. She has chosen works close to her heart from the Iberia Suite in which Isaac Albéniz translates into music the richness of the Spanish landscapes and the magic of the Cante-hondo, then, colours of a different nature will radiate from the exciting five Venezuelan songs and dances, in a selection that includes the very popular Alma llanera by Pedro Elías Gutiérrez and Caballo viejo by Simón Díaz. In the second half of the concert Clara Rodríguez will play the 4th Ballade and the 3rd Sonata, two masterpieces of Chopin's richest maturity.
