Please remember that by attending the Venezuelan Christmas Dinner, you are not just enjoying delicious Venezuelan Christmas dishes and visiting SOL, the newest Latin-American restaurant in the area, but you are also supporting a noble cause: the Cycle Challenge USA 2008 of Veniños (Venezuelan Children in Need).

Veninos' Chair, Jane Blake is a member of Casa de Venezuela since 2005. On several occasion members of the board of Casa de Venezuela met Mrs. Blake to talk about the great work that Veninos has done on behalf of children in need in Venezuela and how we could support them.

ABOUT CYCLE CHALLENGE USA 2008

From March 1st - October 18th 2008, Veniños Trustee Lisa Tylee (MBE) will be cycling approx 14,000 kms around the USA (Houston - Miami - Philadelphia, New York - Cleveland - Chicago - Denver - Salt Lake City - San Francisco - LA - San Diego - Las Vegas - Oklahoma City - Dallas - Austin - Houston!) to raise awareness about Veniños and to raise funds to help street and shanty town children in Venezuela.

What makes this particularly impressive is that Lisa will be cycling with one leg as she was born with no knee in her left leg.
