“A room full with friends, good food and wine” is the heart and sole of Macchiato restaurant in Miami, Florida.
Owner Marlene Zubizarreta set out to create a boutique restaurant where a passion for delectable food is the primary focus. Specializing in true gourmet and creative cuisine, Chef Albert Fuentes combines Italian and Mediterranean herbs and ingredients, influenced by the flavors of Venezuela, to create the unique dishes at Macchiato. Among the favorites are the sautéed prawns and curried risotto wrapped in a plantain leaf, which proves that three countries' food customs can combine into one mouthwatering entrée. Another wonderful dish includes the house pâté with a Merlot gelée and Mandarin vinaigrette. For dessert, indulge with the warm chocolate fondant made with special Venezuelan dark chocolate. A family-operated business, Macchiato maintains a cozy ambience, where local art is sold and light jazz music plays softly in the background. With antique furniture and high ceilings, Macchiato has proven to guests that this charming eatery is what “dining out” is all about.
